Description
Recruiting Holistic: Assessment Process, Process Structure Diagram

The process through which admissions tutors use their professional judgement to decide whether or not to offer a place to an applicant. May include assessment of previous academic performance via the candidate's qualifications held or to be taken, interviews, admissions tests, consideration of contextual information.

In this case admissions tutors are reviewing all potential rejection decisions; they are attempting to maximise the number of offers.

The diagram shows that the assessment process can be a single initial selection activity (resulting in an offer) or two activities, one by administrative staff and one by academic. Also refer to the scenario "Recruiting-Holistic: assessing the application".
